HAT SIZING & CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Hat Sizing
Most of our hats are made in one size fits all and are affixed with elastic and a comb. Full size boaters or crown and brim hats can be made to size.
If you do not know your hat size, carefully measure your head using a flexible tape measure.
To ensure you measure the circumference of your head correctly, the tape measure needs to be over the middle of your forehead, just above your ears and sit midway at the back of your head. Do not pull the tape too tightly unless you want your hat to be as tight. Measure yourself 2-3 times just to be as accurate as possible.
If you do not have a flexible tape measure, use a piece of string. Once you have measured your circumference and marked the string, lie it flat and measure it. eg 57cm or 22 1/4 inches.
Care Instructions
Most of our pieces are made using straw or paper material which will lose their shape if they get wet. Do not wear your hat in the rain and avoid getting it damp or wet.
Sometimes flowers can get slightly squashed in transportation. A quick steam over a kettle or clothes steamer will fluff them back up but be careful not to apply steam to the main body of the hat. Should your hat get wet or damp, reshape and leave in a dry and warm environment to stiffen again.
Repairs can be made to your piece to refresh for the next wear – please contact us if there has been any damage or misshaping and we will do our best to restore the hat to it’s original condition at a small cost.
ORDERS, DELIVERY & RETURNS

Orders
Charlotte prides herself on the handmade and high standard of her pieces, with no machine stitching. This level of quality can take some time so please do check our standard timescales for orders.
Bespoke Ready To Wear designs - 2-3 weeks (excluding delivery)
Full couture/bespoke design – 4-5 weeks (excluding delivery)
Please do call for pieces required within shorter timeframes – we may be able to accommodate time requests subject to discussion.
Delivery
Your piece will be safely and securely package in a hat box to arrive to you in pristine condition. The cost of delivery with vary slightly with the size and type of product.
After production, we aim to have your item with you within 48 hours at a cost of £10/£25.
Collection is available from SW13 upon request and prior arrangement.
Returns
Ready To Wear can be returned within 14 days of purchase provided the piece is in original condition and still has the purchase tag attached,
Bespoke Ready To Wear and Full bespoke service pieces are individually made to order so cannot be returned.
